A big sounding 1996 Gibson J-100 Xtra in really nice condition. The wood is crack free on this guitar. There is some minor finish wear near the bass side off the fingerboard between the 14th and the 16th frets. Also there is a ding on the treble upper bout where the top meets the binding. The sides and the neck are free of scratches and dings. The back shows very light belt buckle scratches that are very shallow and smooth to the touch. The top has multiple lacquer cracks. There are also cold cracks on the heel of the neck and on the headstock overlay, and the back of the headstock.
The guitar has a straight neck, a good neck angle, and great volume. It is strung with medium gauge strings (013 - 056) and the neck is straight. The action at the 12th fret is a hair over 3/32" on the sixth string and between 2/32" and 3/32" on the 1st string. Nice easy action with room on the saddle to lower the action if you desire.
All parts are original, including the brown hardshell case with purple plush interior.
The J-100 Xtra is the same size as the J-200 Super Jumbo guitar. It has mahogany back and sides, dot fingerboard inlays, a plain pickguard and a mustache bridge made of rosewood. The fingerboard is rosewood as well.
